Our Story
Strawberry Leopard was born in 2011 out of a desire to make vivid hair color accessible to all. When our founder, Leah, wanted to experiment with bright “mermaid” and pastel hair, quality hair dyes in funky colors were hard to find. The few options on the market were unreliable and damaged hair.
Leah believed vibrant hair color could be achieved without compromising hair health. She set out to create damage-free, conditioning hair dyes that delivered pure, saturated color. After months of formulating and testing, Strawberry Leopard semi-permanent hair color was born.
The brand started as a passion project in Leah’s garage. As word spread, Strawberry Leopard developed a cult following among the online hair color community. In 2014, the brand went “commercial” and became available at Sally Beauty stores.
Today, Strawberry Leopard offers a complete hair color and care line. While the brand has grown, the spirit of creative self-expression and hair health remains at the core of all we do. We can’t wait to see the vibrant looks you’ll create with Strawberry Leopard!
